Officers from the Pinellas Park Police Department along with firefighters from the Pinellas Park Fire Rescue Department responded to the CVS Pharmacy located at 7101 Park Boulevard. Shortly before 8 a.m. on Sunday, September 5, 2021, a customer called 911 about an adult male down in the rear parking lot of the store.
Paramedics determined that the victim, identified as 54 year-old Pierre Smith of St. Petersburg, was deceased at the scene.
Through the investigation, officers located no signs of trauma or foul play and the cause of death is unknown. The Pinellas County Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the scene and took custody of the deceased, Pierre Smith. This investigation will continue in conjunction with the Pinellas County Medical Examiner to determine a cause of death.
No other information is anticipated to be released about this case.
