Police investigating the death of a teen at a St. Petersburg home

Officers from the St. Petersburg Police Department responded to a home at 3888 Shore Acres Boulevard NE.

They were dispatched shortly before 8 a.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, to assist St. Petersburg Fire Rescue crews. A 16-year-old boy was found deceased in his home. 

Detectives are working to determine what led to his death, and detectives remained at home into Wednesday evening.

At this time, police say there is no danger to the public, but no other information is available.
