Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) continue investigating a fatality crash involving a motorcyclist. The collision occurred at approximately 8:05 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2023.
The crash occurred on Haines Road in the area of 64th Avenue N. Arriving units found the motorcyclist in the roadway following a collision with another vehicle.
According to troopers, a 65-year-old St. Petersburg man was operating his vehicle westbound on 64th Avenue North and stopped at a stop sign at Haines Road North.
The helmeted motorcyclist, a 34-year-old man from Pinellas Park, was traveling northbound on Haines Road North.
Failing to yield to the motorcycle, the vehicle’s driver continued into the intersection and the motorcyclist’s path. The motorcyclist collided with the vehicle.
The motorcyclist later died from injuries suffered during the crash.
