Police say father struck and killed while teaching daughter how to park a vehicle in Anderson Park

Officers from the Tarpon Springs Police continue to investigate a crash that killed a pedestrian. The crash occurred on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at approximately 5:26 p.m.

Fire rescue crews and police responded to the call for service for a vehicle versus a pedestrian crash at shelter #4 in the park located at 39699 US Hwy 19.

The father then stood in front of the vehicle and the daughter was about to back up, but unintentionally hit the accelerator as the vehicle was still in drive.
