Shots Fired During Home Invasion Robbery in Seminole Thursday Night

Pinellas deputies are investigating a home invasion robbery at a residence located at 12100 Park Boulevard in Seminole.  The incident occurred at approximately 11:44 p.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2017.

According to deputies, 22-year-old Bryce Mazeika was in his home when two black male suspects armed with a handgun, forced their way into his home. The suspects told the victim they were the “police” and directed the victim to get on the ground.

When Mazeika realized the suspects were not law enforcement officers, he armed himself with a handgun that was in his possession. Mazeika shot at the suspects multiple times. One suspect fired back at the victim.  Both suspects fled the residence on foot in an unknown direction.

No injuries were reported.

The suspects were described as two black males both in their mid-20’s, 6 feet tall, approximately 180 lbs. One suspect was wearing a baggy shirt with a colorful square design on the front. The second had an unknown clothing description and was armed with a handgun.

Deputies say the robbery attempt was likely drug-related.
