St. Petersburg Police Arrest Man After an Armed Robbery at a 7-Eleven [VIDEO]

A man was arrested this afternoon after robbing a 7-Eleven location shortly before 3 p.m.  The store is located at 3001 34th Street N in St. Petersburg.

St. Petersburg Police were notified of a holdup alarm at the 7-Eleven location located at 3001 34th Street N in St. Petersburg.  The alarm was received shortly before 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2017.

An arriving officer was flagged down about the adult male suspect leaving the scene.  The officers were able to quickly apprehend the suspect in the area of 30th Avenue N and 35th Street.

A K-9 responded to assist in the search for the firearm that was used in the commission of the robbery.

A witness to the arrest, Jonathan Carbonell, reports that the firearm was recovered in his neighbor’s backyard.
