The Largo Police Department continues to investigate following an officer-involved shooting.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:40 a.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 near the intersection of Kent Drive and Indian Rocks Road.
The initial call was in reference to a domestic incident involving a weapon. The male who was shot, who is not being identified at this time, has been transported via helicopter to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg where he is receiving medical care and is listed in stable condition.
All of Indian Rocks Road was closed between Oak Manor Lane and Wilcox Road following the shooting

The officer was uninjured.

Steven, the article could imply that the “male subject” and the “shooting victim” are the same person, or maybe not. Can you clarify? Both were said to be hospitalized, but means of transport, severity of injuries, and medical condition have two or more descriptors. Thanks, and may God bless you for your service to our community.
