Suspected home invasion leaves man critically injured in St. Petersburg

St. Petersburg Police are investigating a home invasion after a man was found restrained in a St. Petersburg home.

St. Petersburg Police were called to investigate a noise complaint of a loud stereo blaring music from 1908 21st Avenue North at approximately 3 a.m. on Friday, October 30, 2020.

When the officers tried to contact the resident, they looked through the window and saw a man who was physically restrained and in distress. Officers entered the home and called paramedics. It’s unknown how long he had been there.

The victim, a 61 year-old man, is hospitalized in critical condition.

It is early in the investigation, but investigators believe he was the victim of a home invasion.
