Troopers investigate crash that seriously injured elderly Palm Harbor driver

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) continue to investigate a crash that seriously injured an 83 year-old Palm Harbor man.

The crash occurred at approximately 11:26 a.m. on Saturday, November, 21, 2020 in the southbound lanes of US Hwy 19 north of Curlew Road.

The seriously injured man was operating his vehicle northbound on US Hwy 19, stopped and waiting to turn left into Harbor Freight Tools located at 30990 US Hwy 19. He turned left into the path of a pickup truck which struck the passenger side of his vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle was transported to a local trauma center with serious injuries. The driver of the truck, a 28 year-old male from Palm Harbor, was treated for minor injuries according to troopers.
