Troopers Searching For Man That Fled From Crash in Largo Wednesday Night

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol are searching for the driver that fled from a crash in Largo Wednesday Night.

The crash occurred at about 10:05PM on Wednesday, March 22, 2017.

Troopers say that the 2003 Dodge Durango was traveling westbound on 135th Avenue North when the driver failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway.

The Durango departed the roadway and collided with several palm trees at 12097 135th Avenue North.

The driver then attempted to reverse to leave the scene, realized the vehicle was immobilized, locked the vehicle and fled the scene on foot.

He was described by witnesses as a white male, short cut hair, 40 to 45 years of age, brown hair, blue eyes, 170 pounds, 5’8″  tall, wearing a blue T shirt and shorts with a cut across his nose.
