Two Arrested Following Early Morning Shooting at St. Petersburg Gas Station

St. Petersburg — At approximately 1 a.m. on Thursday, April 16, 2026, officers from the St. Petersburg Police Department responded to a report of a person shot in the parking lot of a Mobil gas station located at 1750 34th Street South

According to investigators, Anthony Oliver, 41, and DeAndre Randolph, 29, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated into violence. During the incident, Randolph struck Oliver in the head with a cinder block. In response, Oliver discharged a firearm, shooting at Randolph.

Both men sustained injuries described as non-life-threatening and were transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg for treatment.

Following the investigation, Randolph was arrested and charged with Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon.

Oliver was also taken into custody and charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
