Two Drivers Sought After Woman Falls From One Vehicle Then Struck and Killed By Another

On June 2, 2018, the male driver of the Tahoe came forward and spoke with authorities regarding his role in the disturbance in the gas station parking lot.

The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident that occurred in the parking lot between Janet Yoland Derosier Emile and the driver of the Tahoe.

The FHP continues to investigate the fatal hit and run crash that occurred following the disturbance that claimed the life of Janet Emile.

FHP Troopers believe the hit and run suspect vehicle is a dark colored Ford 2013-2014 Escape, missing a left side wheel-well liner. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the FHP by calling *FHP or Crime Stoppers at 800-873-TIPS.

The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), is currently investigating the death of 35 year-old Janet Emile of New Port Richey, Florida.

The incident occurred at approximately 11:36 p.m. on Friday, June 1, 2018 at SR-54 and Madison Street in Pasco County.

Investigators say an unknown type disturbance occurred at the RaceTrac gas station located at 5823 SR-54 in New Port Richey.  A 2000-2002 blue Chevrolet Tahoe driven by a white male exited the gas station so as to travel westbound on SR-54 while Emile was located halfway in/out of the front right passenger window.

As the Tahoe continued on SR-54, Emile fell out of the window and onto the roadway where she was subsequently struck by another vehicle traveling westbound on SR-54.

Both vehicles fled the scene after the incident.

The second vehicle is believed to be a Ford SUV type vehicle with left front or undercarriage damage.

Emile was transported to Trinity Hospital where she later died from her injuries.
