Two Found Dead in Suspected Murder Suicide at Shephard’s Beach Resort on Clearwater Beach
Detectives from the Clearwater Police Department are investigating after two adults were found deceased in a second floor room at a beach resort.
The call for service came in shortly before 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 25, 2018. Shepard’s Beach Resort is located at 619 S Gulfview Boulevard on Clearwater Beach, Florida.
Firemedics arrived on-scene and determined both individuals were deceased.
According to investigators, the bodies of 55 year-old Jeffrey Scott Little and 50 year-old Melissa Sue Little were found inside their second-floor room by a hotel employee.
The preliminary investigation indicates that Jeffrey Little shot and killed Melissa Little and then killed himself. The couple resided at 5343 Reef Drive in New Port Richey.
They had checked in to the hotel the day earlier.
Clearwater Police homicide detectives continue to investigate.
