Two pedestrians struck and killed crossing 4th Street in St. Petersburg

Officers from the St. Petersburg Police Department are investigating a crash that killed two pedestrians.

The crash occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2022.

Based on preliminary information, a woman in a wheelchair and a man were crossing 4th Street South at 14th Avenue when a sedan struck both of them. Both died at the scene.

The driver stopped and is cooperating with investigators. 4th Street South will be closed between 9th Avenue South and 15th Avenue South for several hours for the investigation.
