Victim of Strong Armed Robbery Injured Saturday Night in Largo

Deputies from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office arrested 23 year-old Brandon Tartaglia following reports of a robbery in Largo.

The incident occurred shortly before 8 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 3575 East Bay Drive.

According to the arrest affidavit, Tartaglia aggressively asked the victim for money outside of the Burger King. The victim indicated he had no money for him and attempted to walk away. Tartaglia walked aggressively toward the victim and stated he had something in his pocket for him.

The victim entered into a physical tussle with Tartaglia and indicated that he feared for his life. Tartaglia attacked the victim and punched him multiple times.

During the attack, Tartaglia attempted to take the victim’s wallet from his back pocket and stated, “Gimme a dollar.”

Police began to locate Tartaglia when they arrived on-scene. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted in this search by officers from the Largo Police Department.

Tartaglia was located and transported to the Pinellas County Jail. He now faces charges of Attempted Strong Arm Robbery and Aggravated Battery. This is Tartaglia’s 15th arrest in Pinellas County in the past 4 1/2 years.

The victim was transported to the hospital with multiple injuries.
