275/Howard Frankland Bridge travel lanes in Pinellas County closing tonight

Tampa Bay, FL – Motorists traveling northbound and southbound on I-275 between Roosevelt Boulevard (SR 686) and the Howard Frankland Bridge should expect multi-lane closures beginning Friday, December 17 from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m., Saturday, December 18, weather permitting. These lane closures are necessary as crews install girders across the roadway as part of the new 4th Street North (SR 687) bridge construction over I-275.

Advanced warning signs and electronic message boards will assist motorists traveling through this area of Pinellas County. Motorists are advised to add travel time as traffic congestion and delays can occur during these lane closures.

Other roadways and bridges (Roosevelt Boulevard, Gandy Boulevard Bridge, Memorial Highway, Courtney Campbell Causeway, Bayside Bridge and the northbound 4th Street on-ramp) may provide alternate routes if needed.
