Teen Motorcyclist Killed in Tarpon Springs Crash
Tarpon Springs Police officers responded to a vehicle crash at the intersection of Tarpon Ave. and Huey Ave. on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at approximately 5:00 p.m.
The crash involved a privately operated bus and a motorcyclist, 18 year-old Cameron J. Sowinski of Dunedin, FL.
Sowinski was transported to the Florida Hospital/North Pinellas in Tarpon Springs with life threatening injuries.
At approximately 5:55 p.m., Tarpon Springs Police confirmed that Sowinski died from his injuries.
Tarpon Avenue was be closed between Huey Ave., east, to the traffic signal at the Tarpon Square and Tarpon Mall shopping centers during the crash investigation.
