Baby Girl Dead Following Dog Attack at Clearwater Home
Crews from Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue responded to reports of a 7 month-old girl attacked by a family dog.
The incident occurred shortly after 2 p.m. on Friday, October 5, 2018 at a home located at 1125 Fairwood Avenue.
The child was transported by ambulance to Mease Countryside Hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
The Clearwater Police Department is conducting an investigation in conjunction with the Department of Children and Families.
The dog, which was a family pet, was taken to the Pinellas County Animal Services.
