Bicyclist struck and killed on Bryan Lane

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to investigate a fatal crash on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at approximately 6:30 p.m.

A 63-year-old Palm Harbor man operated a Jaguar SUV westbound on Bryan Lane, west of Cypress Lakes Boulevard.

A 75-year-old female bicyclist was traveling westbound on Bryan Lane ahead of the Jaguar.

Based on the preliminary investigation, as the Jaguar approached, the bicyclist abruptly turned left into the path of the vehicle.

As a result, the vehicle struck the bicyclist who suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.

It has been almost 13 years since the inception of IONTB.
