Domestic battery suspect flees from Pinellas deputies

Deputies from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office were able to apprehend a battery suspect after he refused to comply with an attempted traffic stop.

The arrest was eventually made after he traveled in an older Cadillac throughout multiple areas of the County shortly after 4 p.m. on Sunday, January 17, 2021. It is reported he traveled in the wrong lanes of McMullen Booth Road while fleeing from officers.

The subject, 48 year-old Thomas Turner of St. Petersburg, is facing charges of dometic battery and fleeing and eluding.

The Sheriff’s Office helicopter remained overhead as deputies had the vehicle under surveillance.

Turner pulled off the roadway after deputies succesfully deployed a tire deflation device off McMulllen Booth Road. The final stop was just north of Main Street.

No further information is available at this time.
