Pedestrian seriously injured in Sand Key crash

Clearwater Police are currently investigating a crash that occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2020.

The crash, involving a vehicle and an elderly male pedestrian, occurred in the 1200 block of Gulf Boulevard south of the Sand Key Bridge.

The injured pedestrian is being transported to AirLife 3 which landed at Sand Key Park for transportation to Bayfront Heath St. Petersburg. 

Police say that both north and southbound lanes of traffic will be closed for the next couple hours during the investigation.

It has been almost 13 years since the inception of IONTB.
