Pedestrian Struck and Killed Crossing Ulmerton Road

November 15, 2014

Hilarino Gonzalez Jr, a 39 year-old male from Largo, was stuck and killed while attempting to cross Ulmerton Road at approximately 3:22 AM on Saturday, November 15, 2014.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 38 year-old Largo man was traveling in a 1996 Acura Integra westbound in the inside line on Ulmerton Road near 65th Street.

Gonzalez was walking across Ulmerton Road, not in a crosswalk, from north to south into the path of the Acura.  As a result, the Acura collided with the pedestrian who sustained fatal injuries and expired at the scene of the crash.

The westbound lanes were closed for several hours while the Florida Highway Patrol investigated the crash.
