Toyota Driver Fails to Stop, Causing Chain-Reaction Crash on Dale Mabry

A three-vehicle crash on Dale Mabry Highway in Tampa sent four people to area hospitals Saturday night.

The crash occurred on April 18, 2026, at approximately 9:50 PM, along southbound Dale Mabry Highway just north of Village Drive.

According to investigators, a 31-year-old Tampa woman driving a Toyota Corolla was traveling southbound when she failed to stop and rear-ended a Jeep Compass that was stopped in the center lane. The Jeep, driven by a 32-year-old Orlando woman, was pushed forward by the impact and collided with a Dodge Challenger stopped ahead, operated by a 38-year-old Tampa man.

All three drivers sustained injuries and were transported to local hospitals for treatment. A 44-year-old man from Minnesota who was a passenger in the Jeep was also injured and transported to an area hospital.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
