Two people displaced after kitchen fire destroys Pinellas Park mobile home

Crews from the Pinellas Park Fire Department and Largo Fire Rescue responded to the Sun Seair Mobile Home Park this morning at approximately 6:22 a.m. on Wednesday, June 23, 2022. Upon arrival, firefighters reported a mobile home, located at 6372 126th Avenue N, #45, fully engulfed with smoke and flames.

According to the Pinellas Park Fire Department, the occupants of the home included one adult male, one adult female, and one pet feline. The adult male and female occupants had evacuated prior to the arrival of fire crews. The pet feline was unaccounted for. Paramedics evaluated the two residents on scene and found no injuries sustained.

Firefighters initiated an offensive attack and had the fire out within 20 minutes. The mobile home was completely destroyed and a vehicle under the home’s carport sustained damage. There was no fire exposure to other structures.

The American Red Cross was called out to assist the home’s residents.

Pinellas Park’s fire inspector on-scene stated that the fire originated in the kitchen but an investigation into the exact cause of the fire continues.
