Two woman were struck by a 2022 Toyota Tacoma in the area of Edgewater Drive and Main Street near the Dunedin Marina.

The crash occurred at approximately 6:50 p.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2023.

Aeromed responded to pickup 79 year-old Nazire Blloshmi at the Mease Dunedin helipad. She was flow to Tampa General Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Investigators say that 52 year-old Anna Walker-Parisi was driving her 2022 Toyota Tacoma when she struck both Blloshmi and 47 year-old Stela Mema as she was turning left onto Edgewater Drive.

Blloshmi was being assisted by Mema to cross Edgewater Drive, in a designated crosswalk, at the time of the crash.

Blloshmi later died from her injuries at Tampa General Hospital. Mema suffered non life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.

The Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office arrived on-scene to conduct an investigation into the factors that led up to the crash.

The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and investigators do not believe that impairment or speed were factors in the crash.
