Submerged vehicle in Tarpon Springs reported stolen

Tarpon Springs Police Department officers responded at 8:14am to a canal in the area of 300 Pampas Avenue regarding a completely submerged vehicle.  No one observed this vehicle enter the water and it is unknown how long the vehicle was submerged.

Members of the Tarpon Springs Dive Team entered the water to investigate.

It was determined that the vehicle, a 2011 4-door silver Kia, was reported stolen out of the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office jurisdiction.

No further information at this time.
