Man Detained After Driving into a Tampa Home Depot

The Tampa Police Department received a call that a man drove his truck through the front doors of a Home Depot, and fled the scene.

The incident took place at 17601 Bruce B. Downs Boulevard shortly before 1:30 p.m. on November 2, 2017.

Police officers responded to a nearby gas station, where a group of individuals were detaining the male driver.

Paramedics are evaluating the driver who appears to be mentally unstable according to police.

There were no injuries reported at the Home Depot.  Officers have inspected
the vehicle and it does not pose any additional threat to the area.
